BRYD was founded in 2017 by Ben Rogerson, a seasoned sailor, designer, and boat builder from Cowes in the Isle of Wight who saw a need for comprehensive and complete yacht design services in the leisure marine industry. With a passion for performance and design, Ben set out to create a company that could deliver high-end custom yacht designs that exceeded expectations.
Over the years, BRYD has evolved into an international operation with a team of experienced designers and engineers who are dedicated to crafting world-class yachts. Today, BRYD has become a recognised entity within the world of performance yacht design, and we continue to innovate and push the boundaries of what is possible in yacht design and engineering. We are committed to helping our clients achieve their dream yacht, whether they are looking to race across the ocean or cruise in style.

BEng (Hons)
Ben is a passionate Yacht Designer and Naval Architect, originally from Cowes on the Isle of Wight and now living and working in Hamble. He holds a First Class Honours Batchelor of Engineering degree in Yacht and Powercraft Design from Southampton Solent University, where he also gained the accolade from the Royal Institute of Naval Architects and IMarest of ‘Top Final Year Student’.
Yachts and advancing marine technology have been Ben’s obsession since he can remember, as he was sailing almost daily throughout his youth. In his early 20s, following completion of an HND in Leisure Boat Design in 2003, Ben cut his teeth working for eight years on numerous composite race boat builds; from TP52s to Open 60s, working for a number of well-known racing yacht shore teams, whilst continuing to sail competitively at national and international events.
