Interior

The interior of the BR 480DS has been designed with liveaboard comfort, practicality, and understated elegance in mind. At the heart of the concept is a modern deck saloon layout that offers generous headroom, natural light, and sweeping sightlines—creating a bright, open space that feels connected to the sea and sky at all times.

The layout has been developed to provide versatility for different cruising lifestyles. As standard, the yacht includes a spacious forward master cabin with an ensuite head and shower compartment, offering privacy and comfort for long passages. A dedicated crew cabin is located amidships, providing functional separation for skipper or crewed configurations. Aft, the layout allows for a flexible arrangement—either twin and single guest cabins, or a combination of guest cabin and utility room featuring integrated washing and drying appliances, large storage lockers, and custom stowage for tools or spares. This adaptability makes the BR 480DS equally suited for private cruising, family sailing, or long-range expeditions with professional crew.

Care and attention have gone into every surface and fitting throughout the interior. A light oak finish, treated with a soft silk varnish, is standard across the fit-out, creating a bright yet warm ambience. Cladded hull sides offer both acoustic insulation and a textural, homely feel that adds depth to the interior aesthetic. The joinery is crafted using traditional techniques, with solid timber accents, dovetail joinery, and hand-finished detailing that reflect a deep respect for craftsmanship.

Ample storage is built into every available space, with thoughtful consideration given to access and practicality while under sail. Handholds are integrated subtly into the furniture, and layouts have been optimised for movement at sea, ensuring comfort and safety in all conditions.

Whether you’re entertaining guests at anchor, making an ocean crossing, or tucked into a remote harbour, the BR 480DS interior is a place of calm, practicality, and timeless refinement—designed not just to look beautiful, but to live beautifully.

BR 480DS Construction

Hull Construction & Structural Design

The CR 480 is constructed via Vinyl ester – PVC core infusion processes with Structural scantlings that have been developed ISO 12215 -2019 under cat A ensuring a robust ocean-capable craft.

Critically loaded areas have been developed utilising comprehensive tools including Composide design software and drawing on industry-leading expertise in design and evaluation.

The result is a robust yet lightweight ocean-capable craft.

Deck Gear & Systems Design

The Deck systems incorporate carefully selected hardware, including Anderson 62 ST Primaries with Anderson 52 ST Main/Pit winches with Spinlock rope holding equipment specified as standard. Selden Furlex through deck electric furlers are utilised for both the forestay and cutter stays arrangement, providing easy sail control whilst maximising jib luff length for both sails.

Halyard’s, reefing lines and sail controls are led cleanly through rope tunnels within the deckhouse roof, providing a clean and organised deck layout. The deck saloon windows are double glazed as standard as per the CR Yachts Deck salon ethos. With x2 Lewmar 70 flush hatches for the forward cabin and a further x2 Lewmar 41s for the heads and corridor lighting.

Push pits, pull pits and stanchions are produced from high-grade marine stainless steel, polished to a mirror finish and securely fastened with stainless steel backing plates. Internal systems as standard include the Yanmar 4JH80 80Hp Engine with 400L fuel tanks, 600L freshwater tanks and 120L holding tanks servicing the 2x onboard heads.
