60' Performance Catamaran
The Dazcat 1895 is a revolutionary development for the performance catamaran market providing the ultimate in world cruising platforms. This Cat combines the creature comforts of a lavish contemporary interior but housed within an ultra lightweight high performance thoroughbred racing yacht structure. The 1895 supports a powerful but controllable sail set with the ergonomically developed deck layout enabling setups for shorthanded family fast cruising and fully crewed high adrenaline racing excursions.
Working with Multimarine Manufacturing and Dazcat Design we have set out to create a cutting edge 60’+ Cat directly drawing on the strong performance and design principles pioneered by Darren Newton in development of the Dazcat range of performance catamarans over the last 32 years. In the 1895 we have strived to push the boundaries of what is possible in development of the ultimate world cruising performance catamaran.
Dazcat 1895 Exterior
In development of the exterior we have drawn from the design language routed in the DNA of the Dazcat range, whilst imprinting a fresh and future proof cutting edge direction, incorporating both traditional and innovative exterior lines defining a new modern direction. The 1895 holds true to its Dazcat heritage with its signature coach roof and window profile seamlessly transitioning into the aggressively refined Aero / hydro-dynamically developed hull profile and features.

Dazcat 1895 Interior
The main saloon provides an abundance of comfortable areas to lounge and relax. Whether you are watching a movie or the sunset with a glass of wine in hand, this is the ultimate place to relax. The generous saloon table can be actuated into a daybed, a perfect place to sprawl out, read or relax with the kids. The spacious open plan ethos links the entire space from galley through to the navigation giving a sense of freedom and connected flow from area to area.
There are a multitude of interior styling options available. Here our base theme shown within the renders supports colours and materials throughout that create a modern yet traditional yacht ambience, with the colour scheme including classic browns with vibrant yet subtle shades of blue. This along with various materials ranging from cloth and leather, to pine and aluminium, create a modern and comfortable feel.
Our ‘integral performance’ design philosophy means high quality construction techniques are employed throughout to ensure the best possible stiffness to weight ratio. Incorporating the latest infusion technology using carbon/glass hybrid and foam core composite construction maximises global stiffness. This means much improved power translation and high tolerances which are repeatable from boat to boat. The mouldings are produced by female CNC tooling, to ensure we are confident we can provide a yacht that is capable of far exceeding the competition.
On deck the Dazcat has twin wheel direct carbon-cable and shaft drive steering, imperative for the best control and providing quick response to the actions of the helm and crew. When sailing at high speeds it’s essential to maintain total control and to maximise crew response and interface with the boat. In order to achieve this the helm is positioned with a clear all-round view and is able to move from one side to the other quickly and easily. All control lines are close to hand for short or single-handed sailing. In our experience, the sum of these design features quite literally provide a winning formula.
Winches are dual powered to wind and release giving the helm push-button fingertip control on the main traveller and sheet as well as the self-tacking jib. Even the dagger boards are on button control line drivers for easy deployment from the helm position. The spinnaker tack line is mounted to the carbon spinnaker pole with the classic Dazcat V striker and no forward beam is envisaged. Light weight spectra nets are used between to reduce windage and weight forward.
An all carbon mast boom with hay racks and sails are specified to make sure the rig is both very stiff and light. An Antal mast track system and halyard locks, as used by top race boats, are fitted. The self-tacking jib provides easy fast tacks to assist single-handed sailing, though there’s plenty of space to get the crew up and trimming as well.
